Update from Team Evolution Sweden

A summer update from Sweden. After our tunnel training in mid May we begun to start skydive at the Swedish Basics camp. Bad weather did so we only received 38 jumps that week.
After that the first Swedish cup in Västerås was on the schedule. Even worse weather that weekend. We could make one jump. So we won that competition with a score of 15p.

Some more bad luck happened and Our clubs Twin-otter broke. And there was no time to find an alternate aircraft to our second training week.

In beginning of July we attended at the second Swedish Cup. The weather was great this time.
The official meet was six rounds, but we could do all then rounds. The draw was fast and promising with two fast jumps. After a months absence of team jumping we prepared for the meet.

The first jumps was a bit slow but fairly stable. Jump six was the fastest with five randoms. We had not been training for fast jumps in the sky at all and did not know how strong we were.
So we went up and just did our thing. And we did break the Swedish record! The old one was 27 points, we did 29!! We did 18,4p average after six rounds and 16,4 after ten.
The official results are posted here. Joey Jones, our coach was pleased with our performance so far. You can read about it on Skyleague.com

After the meet we attended our third training week. Well, the Swedish weather made it hard for us again. Only 15 jumps (I think its a new low record..) and we did have double rigs and packers ready.

After this crappy start at the season we are not broken at all, maybe (a bit :)) frustrated and hungry to skydive. Now every jump counts for us. We thought we would have almost 200 jumps when we attend the Swedish nationals (starts 28 of July in Gryttjom) we have like 65..

For next year we do not plan to train in Sweden. It will be camps in a DZ somewhere where its more weather safe for sure!

Well, we have some more days to train prior to the nationals and we are ready and prepared and are really really looking forward to the World Cup in Czech! At the WC we are aiming for finals in the European championships and to be the top team in Scandinavia, for the first time in years Sweden has a change to be that!

Blue skies
Evolution Sweden
